I was introduced to quilting by a good friend. "Oh, looks too exacting for something I would get into . . ."
I said. Well,
that was 5 years ago and here are some of the wall-hangings & quilts I've made
since then.

"Memories of Monaco - Don't Feed the Fish". Foundation pieced wall-hanging made for my hubby's birthday. Metallic thread machine quilted. |
"Blue Angel" Machine pieced and rough-edge applique wall-hanging. |
"Go Your Own Way" foundation-pieced wall-hanging in memory of my Scottie, Beatrice, who was a real character and went her own way. |
"Goal" Twin size quilt made for my nephew. Long-arm machine quilted by Busy Bobbin. |
"Mediterrean Butterflies" wall-hanging. Using a Maple Island Quilts pattern (modified) I selected fabrics inspired by my neighbour's purple fireplace. Lots of varigated and metallic thread machine quilting. |
"Van Gogh's Blankie" Lap-size quilt using the Yellow Brick Road pattern from Atikinson (love that pattern). I had bought 2 metres of the blue swirl 'Van Gogh' fabric the minute I saw it, then looked and looked for a pattern. Probably my favorite. Long-arm machine quilted by Busy Bobbin. |

"Swan Lake" machine pieced and rough edge applique wall-hanging made for my mother-in-law. Embellished with beads; hand & machine quilted using varigated & metallic threads. |
"Zardi" my sister's parrot. Foundation pieced small wall-hanging. Pattern from M. Rolfe's book A Quilter's Ark - a wonderful book for animal lovers. |
"Shadow Cats" one of my first wall-hangings, made up of 2" squares and machine quilted by me. |
"Day Garden" & "Night Garden" lap quilts. Saw this pattern in one of the quilting mags and thought it was a good way to show off light and dark florals. Simple 'in the ditch quilting'. |
